Full Job Description

We are seeking Senior Backend Developers (Python) to join our engineering team at MishiPay. You will design, develop, and optimize high-performance backend systems to support millions of transactions daily while maintaining over 99.9% uptime. Key responsibilities include:

Delivering stable, scalable infrastructure for Mishipay’s core platforms.
Achieving infrastructure capable of handling up to 100,000 transactions per day.
Building microservices from scratch, ensuring they scale efficiently and handle high traffic.
Addressing tech debt, improving system performance, and implementing best-in-class architectures.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (VP of Engineering, Product, Payment, Security, Delivery) to align with business priorities.
Coaching junior developers and creating high-quality technical documentation.

To qualify, you must have:

4-5 years of Python development experience, preferably with Django.
Experience with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra/DynamoDB) databases.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), particularly Azure.
Knowledge of deployment orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker Swarm).
Bonus: Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka/SQS/Apache Spark).
Bonus: Background in fintech, retail systems (inventory, promotions, ERP, EPOS, loyalty programs), or startup scaling.
