Senior Backend Developer

r3 Consultant is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join a remote team based in India. This full-time, permanent role focuses on architecting and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend systems and microservices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust system architectures and high-performance REST APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to deliver impactful, production-grade features.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and code reliability.

Core Requirements

• 7+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot (Microservices).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and system design principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in SaaS, SalesTech, or data-driven platforms.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (SQS, Kinesis, Kafka).
• Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like ChatGPT and Cursor.
