This role is designed for one of our clients within the Software Development industry at a Mid-Senior level position. We are seeking a passionate Senior Backend Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure in Bengaluru.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services using AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Build automation for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud resources using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• Develop containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes to manage distributed systems and microservices.
• Create robust CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery and internal tooling development in Python, Java, or Go.
• Enhance system reliability by troubleshooting complex networking issues (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS) and implementing observability solutions like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Collaborate with SRE, Security, and DevOps teams to mentor junior engineers and improve engineering productivity through architecture discussions and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps/SRE roles based in Bengaluru for full-time employment.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or similar frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and AWS services including networking, IAM, and security protocols.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes orchestration, Docker containerization, Terraform for IaC, and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Solid understanding of distributed system principles, microservices architecture, data structures, algorithms, and debugging methodologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Kafka or other distributed messaging systems to handle event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies for secure communication between services.
• Hands-on experience operating highly available production systems at scale using GitOps tools like ArgoCD.

Educational background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience may suffice.
