About the Role

Join a high-impact sustainability and compliance technology initiative as a Backend Platform Developer (AWS). You will support the development of a self-service onboarding platform for internal business stakeholders. This is a deliverable-based project with an anticipated timeline starting November 1, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture & AWS Development: Design and build serverless backend architectures using AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SES, and enterprise authentication components. Establish secure infrastructure using existing credits.
  
  
• Workflow Automation: Develop an automated onboarding engine supporting dependency-based task sequencing across multi-step business processes. Build status management logic for step enforcement, progression tracking, and engagement routing.
• API & Systems Integration: Build REST APIs and webhook listeners connecting with internal/external systems like Airtable, Asana, learning systems, SharePoint, and email services.
  
  
• Security & Compliance: Implement role-based access controls (RBAC), ensure encryption of sensitive compliance data in transit and at rest, and support governance requirements.

Deliverables

You will deliver complete source code, technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to enable long-term internal maintenance without ongoing contractor dependency.
