Senior AWS Data Engineer

About the Role

Tata Consultancy Services is hiring a Senior AWS Data Engineer for our Bengaluru location. This role requires candidates with at least 8 years of IT experience to design, build, and maintain high-performance event-driven integration pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Pipelines: Build resilient data flows using strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Standards & Governance: Define technical standards, design patterns, and enforce best practices across development and security.
• Data Modeling: Design canonical data models to standardize complex organizational domains.
• CI/CD Automation: Build pipelines for reliable, automated software delivery using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.

Tech Stack & Skills

You must have strong hands-on experience in:

• Languages: Golang and Python for backend and data engineering.
• AWS Cloud: Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, Glue, SQS, SNS, EC2, ECS, IAM, CloudWatch.
• Databases: Relational (PostgreSQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB).
• Messaging: Kafka or RabbitMQ for event-driven architectures.

Nice to Haves

AWS certifications such as Certified Data Engineer – Associate and experience with observability platforms like Datadog or Prometheus are highly valued.
