About the Role

Bain's BCN Customer COE, a key component of the expert client delivery network, is seeking a skilled Senior Associate (Frontend Developer). This role is crucial for lending expertise, speed, and competitiveness to Bain’s projects in Pricing, Commercial Excellence, Marketing, and Customer Experience. You will be instrumental in co-developing and delivering innovative pricing products, designing Go-to-Market Strategy Solutions, and enhancing customer experiences through bespoke client analysis and solutions. The COE focuses on developing products and delivering solutions that unlock full client potential across the sales and customer journey value chain, from problem identification and solution design to implementation and capability transfer.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive web applications utilizing the Dash/React framework. Familiarity with related technologies like Streamlit or RShiny is a plus.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists to understand data requirements and translate them into functional application features.
• Implement responsive and interactive user interfaces to enhance user experience.
• Optimize application performance and ensure robust scalability.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of code and data to guarantee high-quality output.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for application features and user guides.
• Continuously stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in web development and data visualization.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5-8 years (undergraduate degree) or 3-6 years (postgraduate degree) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience with Python and web development frameworks.
• Proficiency in React for data visualization; experience with Dash and Plotly is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure; knowledge of AWS is beneficial.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with implementing logins via OAuth providers (Google, Azure AD, Okta) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with other data visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) is a plus.
• Understanding of User Experience (UX) design principles.
• Consulting background or knowledge is essential for effective collaboration with data scientists and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in deploying web applications on cloud servers.
