About the Role:

CashKaro.com is seeking a talented Senior Associate in Data Engineering to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines that power our data-driven decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL to ingest, clean, and transform data from diverse sources including databases, APIs, and cloud storage (e.g., S3).
• API Integration: Develop and manage API integrations to fetch critical campaign and performance data from marketing platforms such as Meta, Branch, Google, and various affiliate networks.
• Automation & Scheduling: Implement and manage automated data workflows using scheduling tools like Jenkins, Airflow, Cron, or similar orchestration platforms.
• Data Cleaning & Transformation: Ensure high data quality through comprehensive validation, transformation, and enrichment techniques.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, data analysts, and marketing teams to understand their data requirements and provide them with the necessary insights for informed decision-making.
• Dashboard Enablement: Support BI teams by feeding clean and structured data into visualization tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Must-Have Skills:

• Python Programming: Demonstrated expertise in Python for scripting, data manipulation (using libraries like pandas, requests, sqlalchemy, json), and API interactions.
• SQL & Databases: Advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and hands-on experience with relational databases such as Redshift, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• APIs: Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, including handling JSON/XML responses, managing API rate limits, pagination, and authentication protocols.
• Data Engineering Fundamentals: Strong grasp of ETL/ELT concepts, pipeline design principles, and experience with workflow schedulers like Airflow or Luigi.
• Data Hygiene: Familiarity with data validation techniques, de-duplication processes, and ensuring overall data integrity.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (S3, Redshift, Lambda).
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git and understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to marketing analytics platforms and data sources (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Branch.io).
• Ability to identify and optimize slow-performing SQL queries.
• Experience with message queuing systems or event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub) is a plus.
