Senior Application Engineer

About the Role

Join Twilio's Enterprise Application Development team as a Senior Application Engineer specializing in Zuora Billing. This role is critical for supporting Finance, Quote, AR, Revenue, Collections & Accounting teams through expert design, configuration, development, and testing of billing solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end architecture and complex product catalog design within Zuora Billing, managing charge models, subscription lifecycles, and scalable O2C/OTR solution designs aligned with finance processes.
• Drive advanced configurations including custom workflows, mediation pipelines, billing rules, multi-entity setups, and performance optimization.
• Design robust integrations between Zuora and enterprise systems (Oracle ERP, tax engines, payment gateways), ensuring automated reconciliations and audit controls.
• Own post-go-live production support, incident management for P1/P2 issues, change/release management, and financial close compliance processes.
• Mentor junior consultants while representing Zuora architecture in executive forums to drive innovation across the I2C landscape.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Strong knowledge of Zuora subscriptions, billing, product/pricing management.
• Expertise in integrations with Salesforce, Oracle ERP, Banks, Payment Gateways, and Avalara tax engines.
• Mastery of the Zuora platform including objects, custom events, workflows, and conversion implementations.
• Solid understanding of Customer aging, AR to GL reconciliation, month-end processes, Agile methodologies, and change management.

Desired:
Experience as a Zuora Billing Solution Lead preferred.
