About the Role

Benovymed Healthcare is seeking a highly experienced Android engineer with exceptional coding and bug-fixing skills. This role is crucial for developing mobile applications from the ground up, particularly within an early-stage tech startup environment focused on highly scalable tech product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and code Android, iOS, and Hybrid mobile applications.
• Collaborate closely with all stakeholders, including Product Owners, Solution Architects, Engineering Heads, UX/UI Designers, Full-stack Developers, and Testers to deliver superior products with minimal bugs.
• Integrate with various APIs and data sources.
• Perform bug fixing and troubleshooting.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance the cross-functional platform.
• Contribute significantly to multi-functional mobile applications as an Android developer.

Required Skillsets

• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with strong end-to-end development experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the Android SDK, various Android versions, and adapting to different screen sizes.
• Experience with RESTful APIs for connecting Android applications to backend services.
• Strong understanding of Android, iOS, Hybrid, and Flutter principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Proficiency with Android Studio.
• Ability to understand and integrate with 3rd party application APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs, client engagement, AI chatbots, and push notification features.
• A talent for benchmarking and optimizing application performance.
• Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) practices.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 to 10 years of post-qualification experience in an early-stage, growing startup, preferably in the Digital Health sector.
• Proven experience in developing mobile app products from scratch within an early-stage startup, ideally as part of a founding team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage mobile app development end-to-end, from conception to launch, for highly scalable Android, iOS, Hybrid, or Flutter platforms.
• Educational Background: B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from a reputable engineering institute.
