About This Role
We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer (Shopper Activation & Engagement) to join an elite Consumer Technology team. In this pivotal role, you will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline drive success.
Your Impact:
- Lead Feature Development: Design, build, and ship high-quality Android features that directly enhance shopper experiences across large-scale consumer applications.
- Own End-to-End Delivery: Drive technical design, implementation, and iteration cycles from concept to launch with measurable impact.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and Engineering teams to gather requirements, set success metrics, and optimize workflows.
Key Responsibilities & Goals
You will contribute directly to improving app architecture for scalability and maintainability. Your focus will be on enhancing operational excellence through performance tuning, stability improvements, and rigorous security/privacy compliance when integrating complex APIs. Additionally, you will identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement scalable solutions that drive efficiency gains.
What We Need From You
- Experience: 5+ years of professional Android development with Kotlin; specifically 2+ years building large-scale consumer-facing features.
- Tech Stack Mastery: Deep proficiency in RxJava, Dagger (Dependency Injection), Jetpack Compose, and Kotlin Coroutines. Solid understanding of MVVM/MVI architectures.
- Fundamentals First: Strong computer science roots including data structures, algorithms, concurrency models, and clean code principles.
- Collaboration: Ability to thrive in cross-functional environments with Product Managers (PMs), Designers, and Data Scientists.
