Senior Analyst

Agoda's Finance Operations Excellence team is seeking a Senior Analyst, VBA Automation for a 12-month contract position based in Mumbai, India. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control within finance operations. The specialist will build robust tools and workflow automations to modernize manual processes, contributing to a scalable and controlled operating model across the Finance department.

Key responsibilities include architecting and developing automation solutions using Advanced Excel, Macro/VBA, MS Access, SQL, Power Automate, FloQast, and Power Apps. You will engineer automations for high-volume and control-sensitive workflows such as reconciliations, reporting, validation, and close activities. This involves designing data models, query logic, input/output structures, and exception handling using Excel, Access, and SQL, while optimizing existing tools for performance and auditability. Workflow automation through Power Automate, FloQast, and Power Apps will reduce manual handoffs and improve process standardization. Additionally, you will create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and support continuous improvement by resolving issues and identifying refactoring opportunities.

To succeed in this role, you need advanced proficiency in Excel, strong Macro/VBA coding expertise, and experience with MS Access and SQL. Hands-on experience with Power Automate, FloQast, and Power Apps is essential. You should have a strong ability to translate business requirements into reliable automation solutions, with a good understanding of process controls and exception handling. Experience in finance operations environments is preferred. The qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience in finance operations automation and in a tech or e-commerce environment is advantageous. Professional certifications are a plus.
