Join Brookfield Renewable, a leading global entity in the renewable power sector, as a Senior Analyst or Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in New York, NY. This pivotal role involves delivering comprehensive financial planning and forecasting, conducting in-depth analysis of portfolio performance, actively supporting asset integrations, and collaborating with department leaders to provide critical insights for executive management reporting. Your expertise will drive informed decision-making in the rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape.
Key responsibilities include coordinating the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the entire operating platform, consolidating and analyzing results, and preparing detailed reports for senior management. You will perform meticulous budget vs. actual variance analyses, identify key business drivers, and contribute to performance benchmarking. This position also requires the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation reports, including in-depth analysis for various management reporting packages. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in supporting quarterly investment valuations, reviewing and building Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models, challenging assumptions, and presenting valuation insights and scenario analyses. Effective partnership with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Accounting, and Treasury, as well as portfolio companies, is essential for monitoring KPIs and identifying financial risks and opportunities. Automation and management of FP&A consolidation systems and tools are also part of the role, alongside conducting ad hoc projects and data-driven analyses as directed by senior leadership.
Ideal candidates will possess a university degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, along with a professional designation such as CPA or CFA. A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a relevant field is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in advanced MS Excel, and strong analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail, organization, and precision are essential. Previous experience within the renewable energy, infrastructure, real estate development, or construction industries is highly desirable. The role demands a self-motivated, proactive individual with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Preferred qualifications include experience with FP&A and Accounting systems such as OneStream and IFS. This is a full-time, onsite position with a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $170,000 per year, along with health benefits and a 401(k) plan.
