MUFG Global Service Private Limited is seeking a Senior Analyst for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) within the Governance & Monitoring team, reporting to the regional DLP team lead in MUFG Bank's Asia Risk Management Office (ARMO) – Operational Risk Management (ORM). This individual contributor role is crucial for overseeing DLP governance and monitoring to support APAC Business Units.
The primary responsibilities include supporting DLP governance and monitoring activities, responding promptly to DLP-related inquiries from Business Units (BUs), verifying basic fulfillment of Change Management Documents, conducting regular analysis of alert logs, following up on suspicious transactions with business users, and identifying cybersecurity risks to the Bank. The role also involves influencing business and IT partners to adopt sound risk management decisions.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Reporting and periodical review of DLP alerts: Analyze false positives and self-attestation suspicious activities, review generated reports to highlight false positive rates, and distribute reports to 19 divisions and/or 11 countries' business units.
- High Value Asset (HVA) update reminder and collection: Remind BUs semi-annually to revisit their HVA lists, collect and consolidate updated HVAs from each BU, and share changes with the DLP Rule Engineering Team for system configuration.
- Coordinate incident response: Inform BU managers to escalate potential incidents to the Asia Risk Management Office/ISSP Common team and local compliance, include the DLP governance team in incident assessment outcomes, and report outcomes to necessary members of the APAC DLP Steering Committee.
- Conduct periodical training to BUs: Prepare business user training materials based on monthly reporting, conduct training sessions to raise awareness, and explore methods to measure BU training maturity levels.
- User inquiry response and Change Management: Respond to user inquiries relevant to DLP and coordinate with stakeholders until resolution. Keep the DLP Governance team informed of Change Requests approved by ARMO/ISSP Common team and/or ASO/ISSP System Management Standard team.
- Liaise with APAC DLP Steering Committee: Provide key inputs to BU stakeholders reflecting the APAC DLP situation, including incident results.
- Act as required: Undertake other duties as instructed by the regional DLP team lead.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of Information/IT governance and Data Loss Prevention concepts. Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred.
- Ability to promptly react to and escalate DLP-generated alerts to the ARMO Regional DLP Lead and precisely handle business unit queries.
- Experience in creating and reviewing work papers for documenting testing and/or issue closure in Information/IT issue management.
- Proficiency with Information/IT metrics and reporting, including scorecard development using data metrics tools (e.g., IBM OpenPages, Tableau, Access).
- Effective teamwork skills, initiative to collaborate and challenge the status quo, and adaptability to new changes.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently, sourcing information, systematically evaluating options, and recommending solutions.
Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Information Security, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Possession of relevant IT certifications such as ISO/IEC 27000 series, COBIT, or ITIL is advantageous.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Information/IT Security within the Banking and Finance industry.
