Senior AI/Data Science Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive data platform excellence and innovation independently.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient data platform deployment and administration.
• Establish proactive monitoring and alerting systems for platform health.
• Develop automation to facilitate a self-service model for developers.
• Troubleshoot production issues with a strong problem-solving approach.
• Utilize platform metrics to guide infrastructure right-sizing and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team.
• Create tools and automate operational tasks for integrating the data platform with external systems.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure continuous platform uptime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience.
• Ability to work independently to deliver solutions from business requirements using industry best practices.
• Strong security and data-privacy awareness.
• Mandatory Core Python experience.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data Technologies such as HDFS, Hive, and PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with Job Orchestration tools, preferably Airflow / Oozie.
• Strong expertise in writing SQL Queries.
• 1-2 years of experience in AWS and AWS native tools (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, Step Functions).
• Experience with Source Control systems like Git/GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving and task automation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Data Engineer.
• Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Previous healthcare industry experience.
• Experience with other CI/CD tools.
• Other AWS certifications.
