Senior AI Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and deliver highly scalable, next-generation AI products. You will join a high-performing team in Pune (or Bangalore/Hyderabad) working on Teradata's core AI platform.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain robust systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to shape design and deliver end-to-end features for our AI products.
• Build secure RESTful APIs ensuring data consistency and maintainability.
• Leverage SQL/NoSQL databases for efficient data modeling and service access patterns.
• Pioneer Agentic AI, LLMs, and other emerging ML technologies within the platform.
• Mentor engineers in technical planning, implementation, and best practices.
• Optimize infrastructure to resolve performance bottlenecks using modern containerization (Kubernetes).

About You:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of backend/distributed systems development.
Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python.
• Deep understanding of distributed system patterns and RESTful API design.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot and other AI productivity tools.
• A passion for building impactful, people-first AI-driven products in a dynamic environment.
