Securly is seeking a Senior AI Engineer – Internal Tools & Systems to design, build, and manage production-grade, AI-powered internal tools. These tools will enhance organizational efficiency and reduce manual tasks for departments including Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Product. This role focuses on practical, applied AI, developing reliable systems that are integrated into daily workflows, not just experimental concepts. You will lead solutions from problem definition to deployment and iteration, collaborating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. This is a senior individual contributor position for engineers passionate about building full-stack internal systems and responsibly applying AI to achieve significant business impact.

Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India
Work Type: Hybrid (onsite 2 days per week)
Compensation: ₹48 – 64 LPA (based on experience and demonstrated capability)

First 12 Months Goals:

First 90 Days: Develop a deep understanding of internal workflows, data sources, and operational challenges. Review existing internal tools, automation efforts, and previous AI initiatives. Deliver initial improvements or prototypes, such as AI-assisted search, summarization, or workflow support.

First 180 Days: Design and launch production-ready internal AI tools to reduce manual effort or cycle time. Enhance the reliability, usability, and adoption of AI-enabled systems. Establish responsible practices for building, validating, and deploying AI features.

First 360 Days: Own multiple internal AI systems with regular usage across teams. Drive adoption, iteration, and long-term maintenance. Contribute to internal standards and best practices for AI-enabled tools.

Core Responsibilities:

Internal Tools & AI Systems Development: Design and build essential internal tools used daily. Develop AI capabilities like internal search, copilots, summarization, classification, and workflow automation. Ship full-stack applications using modern frontend frameworks and cloud-native, serverless backend infrastructure. Ensure systems are production-ready, reliable, and easy to operate.

Applied AI & Automation: Apply LLMs and automation techniques to solve real operational problems. Evaluate trade-offs between accuracy, cost, latency, and usability. Integrate AI systems with internal data sources and third-party platforms.

Platform, Infrastructure & Reliability: Build scalable APIs and services using AWS and serverless architectures. Implement data pipelines and background processing using services like S3, SQS, or similar. Ensure observability, logging, and operational stability.

Collaboration & Ownership: Partner with Finance, Enablement, Sales, Support, Product, and Engineering teams. Own features end-to-end, from design through rollout and iteration. Communicate clearly regarding scope, priorities, trade-offs, and outcomes.

Core Technology Environment:

• Frontend: TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js (App Router), JSX/TSX, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, v0 (Vercel)
• Backend: TypeScript/Node.js, serverless APIs, lightweight frameworks
• Cloud: AWS Lambda, S3, SQS
• Data: PostgreSQL, ORM-based access patterns, vector search
• AI: LLM integration, embeddings, RAG-style internal tools

Required Qualifications:

• Experience building and operating production software systems with AI or automation (typically 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience).
• Strong experience building full-stack systems, including modern React frontends and cloud-native backends.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern React frameworks (Next.js, JSX/TSX, Tailwind CSS).
• Experience applying LLMs or AI-assisted workflows in practical internal or user-facing systems.
• Experience owning features end-to-end, including deployment and ongoing support.
• Demonstrated judgment regarding reliability, maintainability, and user adoption.
• Experience working effectively across time zones and with cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building internal tools for non-engineering teams.
• Familiarity with AWS serverless services (Lambda, S3, SQS).
• Exposure to vector search, embeddings, RAG-style systems, or AI-enhanced search.
• Experience integrating with platforms like Salesforce, ticketing, or analytics tools.
• Prior experience operating at a Senior or equivalent IC level.
