Senior AI Engineer – Production LLM Systems
About the Role:You will own end-to-end ownership of AI systems and lead the engineering team in building production-grade solutions for regulated industries. This is a hands-on position focused on deploying robust, scalable AI products directly into enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Build Production RAG:Implement advanced chunking strategies, retrieval mechanisms, re-ranking algorithms, and citation systems ensuring answers are strictly grounded in approved sources.
- Develop Agents & Tool Calling:Create autonomous agents with robust tool integration capabilities (including MCP standards).
- Evaluation & Guardrails:Design comprehensive test sets for hallucination checks, red-teaming exercises, and safe handling of sensitive regulated content.
- Document AI Pipelines:Construct efficient workflows for OCR, data extraction, and classification tasks.
- LLM Operations in Production:Select optimal models while rigorously monitoring costs, latency, and reliability metrics.
- Security & Compliance:Collaborate directly with client technical teams to handle sensitive banking, pharmaceutical, and government data under strict security protocols.
- Team Leadership:Review code, establish engineering standards, and guide junior engineers on best practices.
What You Bring
- Experience:6+ years in software engineering with at least 2 years specifically building LLM or generative AI systems for production use cases involving real users.
- Tech Stack:Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI preferred), APIs, data management, and deployment pipelines. Hands-on experience with vector search technologies such as Azure AI Search, pgvector, or Qdrant is essential.
- Cloud Platforms:Azure experience (OpenAI, Document Intelligence) is a strong plus; AWS or GCP familiarity is welcome.
- DevOps & Infrastructure:Docker containerization and CI/CD implementation with production monitoring capabilities.
- Domain Knowledge:Experience in regulated environments like banking, healthcare, or government sectors.
- Languages:Clear, confident English is required for client interaction; Arabic or French is a plus.
