Full-Stack AI & Automation Engineer

Human Resources - Strategic Planning & Analytics CoE

About the Team & Your Role

The team functions as a strategic engine fueling ST's growth through five pillars: Business Partnerships, Products & AI, Workforce Insights, Data Science, and Workforce Planning Architecture. You will not work in silos but at the intersection of human capital and advanced technology, leveraging AI to solve complex organizational challenges.

  • End-to-End AI Prototyping: Architect, build, and deploy conversational bots and transactional AI agents from scratch in a sandbox environment.
  • Workflow Orchestration & Automation: Design multi-system automation workflows using tools like n8n (JavaScript/Python execution nodes, webhooks) to automate actions such as system lookups and conditional task routing.
  • LLM Integration & Prompt Engineering: Integrate prototypes securely with internal OpenAI/ChatGPT APIs. Master prompt design, function calling, tool use, and state management.
  • Interface & UI/UX Evolution: Build lightweight web interfaces (Streamlit, Next.js) for stakeholder testing, decoupling backend logic via webhooks for future migration into Microsoft Teams.
  • Code Hygiene & Handoff Documentation: Maintain code transparency using GitHub. Author structured "Industrialization Blueprints" (JSON payloads, API mappings) to hand over prototypes for full-scale production.

Required Background & Skills

  • AI Orchestration Frameworks: Expert-level workflow creation using n8n or equivalent frameworks with advanced JavaScript/Python execution nodes and webhooks.
  • AI & LLM Mastery: Practical experience implementing conversational APIs, embedding architectures, vector stores, and advanced prompt engineering constraints.
  • Full-Stack Core Development: Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/Node.js. Ability to write clean API connectors, handle RESTful requests, parse JSON, and maintain code via GitHub.
  • Enterprise Collaboration Ecosystems: Familiarity with building integration layers or bots for the Microsoft 365 / MS Teams ecosystem is highly desirable.
  • Candidate Profile: Possess a "Can-do" attitude to thrive in an unstructured environment as a foundational builder and pioneer.
  • Experience Level: 9–12 years of software engineering/automation experience, with at least 2–3 years focused on building AI agents/bots from scratch. Masters or PhD required.
  • Additional Skills: Understanding of HCM systems like Oracle is an advantage. Excellent English and storytelling skills are essential.
