Building the Future of Open Finance at Kraken: Kraken is expanding its AI Compute and Infrastructure team to power next-generation AI workloads—model training, inference, evaluation, and experimentation. This role is for a Senior AI Compute Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate GPU/accelerator clusters, optimize compute efficiency, and build observability for AI systems. You’ll collaborate with AI/ML researchers, platform engineers, and product teams to ensure fast, reliable, and cost-efficient AI infrastructure. Key responsibilities include managing GPU clusters, scheduling workloads, optimizing inference pipelines (e.g., vLLM, Triton), debugging performance bottlenecks, and driving reliability and cost optimization. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience, hands-on GPU/accelerator expertise, and strong systems engineering skills. Proficiency in Python, ML serving frameworks, and observability tools is essential. Experience in crypto, financial services, or high-scale ML environments is a plus.
