Oracle is seeking a talented and driven Senior AI Applications Engineer to join our team in Ahmedabad. In this role, you will design, develop, and support enterprise-grade AI applications utilizing cutting-edge AI/ML frameworks. You will be instrumental in translating complex business needs into scalable, innovative AI solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results.

Key Deliverables

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven applications leveraging technologies such as AI Agents, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and Large Language Models
• Apply diverse AI techniques, including clustering, classification, regression, Monte Carlo simulations, and Bayesian blending, to real-world enterprise problems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define AI application requirements and translate them into concrete, testable specifications.
• Automate complex business flows and operations through the creation of new product features and enhancements to existing functionalities.
• Ensure application scalability, reliability, and optimal performance within a cloud environment by adhering to best practices for development, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to the establishment and refinement of development, testing, and deployment best practices for AI applications.
• Participate in system planning, scheduling, and implementation of enterprise-scale AI applications, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field is required.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in AI, software engineering, or closely related fields; exceptional candidates with internship experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated, hands-on knowledge of common AI techniques, including machine learning methods and statistical modeling approaches.
• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise software development principles, including REST APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-native architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related discipline.
• Experience with Large Language Models, Retrieval Augmented Generation, or other advanced modern AI tooling is highly desirable.
• Prior work with cloud platforms (ideally Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) is a significant advantage.
• Proven track record of developing and deploying enterprise-grade AI solutions.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD

• Technical:Proficiency in programming languages relevant to AI (e.g., Python, Java) with a strong emphasis on clean, maintainable code.
• Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of AI/ML frameworks and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Oracle Cloud AI services) including their strengths and weaknesses.
• Behavioral & Interpersonal: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Process & SOP: Experience documenting technical designs, APIs, and workflows in a clear and concise manner.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Advanced Technical: Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Additional Certifications: Relevant certifications in cloud computing or AI/ML from recognized providers.
• Cross-Functional Exposure: Prior experience working closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Leadership Traits: Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a positive team environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and a commitment to iterative improvement.
