Senior Advisory Software Engineer

About the Role

Join Pitney Bowes as a Senior Advisory Software Engineer (Technical Architect). This role requires hands-on expertise across AWS Cloud and on-premises data centers in Pune, working with a hybrid model.

Your Mission

• Act as a trusted reliability advisor for the corporate IT operations function.
• Critically evaluate production systems to expose hidden risks and drive permanent architectural fixes rather than temporary workarounds.

Key Responsibilities

You will operate independently, evaluating architecture across AWS (EC2, Lambda, EKS) and on-premises environments. Design chaos engineering exercises and DR tests; lead blameless post-mortems to ensure systemic improvements. Champion observability using tools like New Relic, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 8–13 years in infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, and/or SRE.
• Tech Stack: Deep expertise with AWS Well-Architected Framework (compute, networking, storage), Kubernetes/EKS, database reliability (RDS/Aurora/DynamoDB).
• Resilience: Proven ability in Disaster Recovery strategies and failure-mode analysis.
