Security Testing Engineer

About the Role

The Security Testing Team partners with global internal teams to provide innovative security testing for Atlassian products, platforms, and customers. As a Penetration Tester, you will perform high-quality manual penetration testing and code reviews alongside our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Technically validate the state of Atlassian's technical security controls in collaboration with security and engineering teams.
• Hunt for vulnerabilities that automated toolsets miss and propose solutions to strengthen security posture.
• Read, understand, and review code (primarily Java, Go, Python) as we work closely with product engineering teams.

Qualifications

We expect you to have 5+ years of experience in whitebox penetration testing/appsec/manual code review. You should possess a strong understanding of web application security and cloud infrastructure architecture. Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go is essential.
