Key Responsibilities

Security Testing & Assessment

• Conduct comprehensive security testing for web, Android, and iOS applications to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Execute both manual and automated security assessments utilizing industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Develop sophisticated attack scenarios to uncover potential threats, particularly in critical product flows such as payment gateway integrations and authentication systems.

Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) & Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to seamlessly integrate secure coding practices throughout the entire development lifecycle.
• Define and manage the threat landscape from the initial ideation phase through architecture design and deployment, ensuring security is embedded at every stage.
• Proactively identify platform-wide vulnerabilities and provide clear, actionable remediation guidance to relevant teams.

Innovation & Risk Mitigation

• Drive the development and implementation of automation solutions to significantly accelerate vulnerability detection and response times.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of emerging technologies, frameworks, and evolving security threats within the industry.
• Influence and advocate for engineering practices that foster a robust security-first culture across the entire organization.

Skills & Attributes for Success

• Possess a deep understanding of security vulnerabilities that extend beyond the OWASP Top 10.
• Demonstrate experience with security assessments in microservice architectures.
• Exhibit familiarity with programming languages and technologies including Python, Java, C, C++, PHP, SQL, JavaScript, Ruby, NodeJS, and Go.
• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a genuine curiosity for understanding intricate system behaviors.
• Be self-motivated, independent, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
• Contributions to security communities and proactive involvement in automation initiatives are considered a significant plus.
