Full Job Description
Join a top-performing agile team at the forefront of delivering secure software solutions as a Security Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase in Hyderabad. You will play a crucial role in developing software that meets functional and user requirements while actively preventing misuse and malicious behavior. This is an emerging role within the security engineering team where you'll design, develop, and troubleshoot multiple components, gaining valuable skills and experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute standard security solutions aligned with existing playbooks to fulfill security needs for internal clients, including product, platform, and application owners.
- Write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language with minimal supervision.
- Utilize specialized tools, such as vulnerability scanners, to analyze and correlate incident data, identifying, interpreting, and summarizing threat probabilities and impacts to pinpoint specific vulnerabilities.
- Support the delivery of continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises.
- Contribute positively to the team's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts and a minimum of 2 years of applied experience.
- Proven experience in full-stack development using Java/J2EE, React, and MongoDB.
- Basic experience in developing security engineering solutions.
- Demonstrated coding proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Working knowledge of information and network security, IT risk management, and architectural concepts and patterns.
- Proficiency with specialized tools, such as vulnerability scanners, for analyzing incident data.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Familiarity with the Camunda BPM platform, including BPMN 2.0, process modeling, and workflow orchestration (Camunda Platform 7 or 8).
- Exposure to agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practices.
