Security Engineer

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join our team in Delhi and play a crucial role in protecting our systems and networks from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring robust security measures, conducting thorough vulnerability assessments, and collaborating closely with our IT teams to ensure a secure and resilient technology environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain advanced security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems to safeguard our critical systems and networks.
• Proactively monitor network and system activity for security incidents, anomalies, and potential breaches, ensuring timely detection and response.
• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and mitigate potential risks effectively.
• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, thoroughly investigating causes and implementing robust corrective measures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, development, and operations teams to ensure secure architecture and best practices are embedded in all our processes.
• Maintain meticulous security documentation, policies, and procedures in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Implement and manage strong encryption, authentication, and access control protocols to protect sensitive data.
• Stay continuously updated on emerging threats, cybersecurity trends, and best practices to proactively enhance our security posture.
• Participate in and promote security awareness training, guiding teams on secure practices and fostering a security-conscious culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 2-6 years of professional experience in network and system security, cybersecurity engineering, or closely related roles.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, Security+, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with a range of network security tools, SIEM platforms, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of encryption, authentication protocols, and secure system design principles.

Key Skills:

• Network Security: Expertise in Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure network architecture design.
• Monitoring & Incident Response: Proficiency with SIEM tools, log analysis, threat detection, and effective breach response strategies.
• Vulnerability Management: Experience in penetration testing, security audits, and robust patch management.
• Encryption & Authentication: Knowledge of SSL/TLS, multi-factor authentication, and secure key management.
• Operating Systems & Platforms: Familiarity with securing Windows, Linux, cloud environments, and virtualization platforms.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, keen attention to detail, strong collaboration, and effective communication abilities.
