Security Engineer

As a Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's data, systems, and networks. This position offers invaluable hands-on experience in core cybersecurity disciplines, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and incident response. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the monitoring and analysis of security alerts and incidents, providing support under supervision.
• Conduct foundational Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) and report findings to the security team.
• Gain familiarity with essential VAPT tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, nmap, and Metasploit.
• Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support security audits and compliance efforts.
• Document incident response procedures and other critical processes to ensure the adherence to best practices.
• Support the deployment and maintenance of security tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Information Security.
• Relevant academic coursework or certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CRTP, or CompTIA Security+.
• Demonstrated familiarity with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT) tools.
• Basic experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of security considerations for AI/ML, including model vulnerabilities and data privacy for Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Prior experience or active participation in bug bounty programs or Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions.
