Cyber Security Analyst Position at Shiv Nadar School, Noida
Shiv Nadar School is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Noida. This full-time, permanent role requires a proactive professional dedicated to safeguarding our organization's digital assets.
About the Role:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be instrumental in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security threats to our computer systems, networks, and data. Your primary focus will be to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all organizational information.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement the organization's cybersecurity strategy, including policies, procedures, and guidelines for the safe and secure use of information technology.
Operational Management
- Monitor and analyze network traffic and security logs to identify potential threats and attacks.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify and evaluate new security technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.
- Investigate security incidents and respond to security breaches, including containment and recovery efforts.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement security measures and provide guidance and training to end users.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies to ensure the organization is prepared for emerging threats.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans to prioritize security initiatives.
- Perform security audits to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present security reports to management and other stakeholders.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Threat Landscape Understanding: Up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends to identify potential vulnerabilities and prevent cyber-attacks.
- Network and Systems Experience: Proficiency in network and systems administration, including knowledge of network infrastructure, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
- Security Tools Expertise: Experience with a range of security tools, including vulnerability scanners, SIEM solutions, antivirus and antimalware software, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and end-users, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field, with 2-4 years of experience in a Cybersecurity role.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with a recognized certification in cybersecurity.
