Security Analyst

OculusIT is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Security Analyst to join our team in Gurugram, Haryana. This role involves conducting comprehensive security assessments, managing incident response, and implementing security improvements across diverse client environments. Reporting directly to the client CISO, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance and strengthening the cybersecurity posture of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular security assessments and validate control effectiveness.
• Ensure client compliance with standards including GLBA, FERPA, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and lead remediation efforts.
• Design, document, and implement security policies, configurations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to mitigate vulnerabilities and monitor system health.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security (or 2+ years of relevant IT Administration experience).
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and SOC 2.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with experience in client-facing roles.
• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities in a professional, structured environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, or CISM.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, M365) and Higher Education IT environments.
