Security Analyst

Join Uber's Security Response and Investigations (SRI) team as a Security Analyst on the vSOC team. As a front-line defender, you will handle triage for all security alerts globally across cloud, production, and corporate environments. Build and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance the incident response program and serve as an incident coordinator during critical incidents. Work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and responding to security alerts in real-time across diverse environments.
• Developing and refining incident response protocols to improve threat mitigation.
• Coordinating during high-severity incidents to ensure timely and effective response.
• Collaborating with geographically distributed teams to address global security challenges.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, including 1+ year in a SOC environment.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP), and security frameworks like ATT&CK.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to drive complex incident investigations.
• Experience with threat hunting, automation (SOAR/Python), and crisis management for global operations.
