Security Advisor Specialist

Intact Insurance is seeking a talented and driven Security Specialist to bolster its cybersecurity team. This crucial role focuses on architecting and implementing advanced security solutions, embedding security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, and proactively identifying and mitigating security threats. You will collaborate closely with development teams, ensuring robust security in cloud environments, developing secure containerized solutions, and refining threat detection using big data and real-time streaming technologies. Your responsibilities will include tuning alerts, investigating suspicious activities, validating and triaging alerts in SIEM and EDR platforms, and researching and building cutting-edge detection capabilities based on industry trends and threat intelligence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various log sources, query languages, detection engineering principles, and threat actor methodologies, with experience in cloud security and security monitoring platforms. Fluency in French and English is essential for effective communication across the organization and with clients. While Canadian work experience is not required, eligibility to work in Canada is a must.
