Role Summary: Software Engineer, Internal AI Products

A Software Engineer who builds the tools this company runs on. You build agent loops, and the loops build the solutions. You work towards a Company Brain that anyone here can ask.

THE KEY SKILL

You will not write every automation by hand. You build the loops that write them. Ship a prototype every week. You ship something every day.

You'll be building a Company Brain with access control. One system that holds what the company knows about finance, delivery and people. Anyone can ask it a question. Each person sees only what they are cleared to see.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Work the backlog: You pick items off a live, ranked backlog. There is no discovery phase. What you learn goes back into the backlog and changes what comes next.

Build the product: Design, build and ship tools that people use every day (Reconciliation, MIS, deal desk, etc.).

Wire the data: Connect existing systems so numbers mean the same thing everywhere.

Make it visible: Build live dashboards and alerts leaders read on their own.

Keep it running: Own uptime and accuracy. Anything touching money or people needs a person in the loop.

THE STACK

Build with: Python, TypeScript, Frontier model APIs (Anthropic/OpenAI/Google), at least one agent framework, MCP for system connections, Postgres/pgvector. Deploy on GCP.

Work in agents daily: Use AI coding assistants like Claude Code or Cursor to write code and manage loops.

WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE

Something you built is running by week two. By day 90, reporting time drops significantly.

Every tool shipped has a named owner using it after 60 days.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You have built products with real users at scale (100k+ MAU).

You ship alone and are comfortable as the only engineer on call.

You work out new ground fast without waiting for specs.

HOW WE WILL ASSESS

A design problem: Live. We watch how you break down a domain and size it.

A build exercise: Live, on your own setup with agents.

We talk about what you have shipped before.

You report to the CEO and CFO from day one. Your charter covers the whole company.
