Role Overview: SDET - Performance & Infrastructure Lead
Join the Pune Division to spearhead infrastructure evolution and deployment pipelines at Barclays. You will leverage cutting-edge technology to build scalable, secure solutions that drive operational excellence across our digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead API performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling with realistic workload simulation.
- Analyse test results (throughput, latency, error rates) to identify bottlenecks in application, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Utilise monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and Grafana for root cause analysis.
- Design end-to-end performance strategies covering UI + API layers for customer journeys.
- Execute load, stress, endurance, resilience (chaos), and failover validation testing on banking/payment systems (FPS/RPS).
Tech Stack & Skills:
We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins) within cloud environments (AWS/Azure). Basic scripting skills in Java or Python for custom test development and data preparation are essential. Familiarity with non-functional governance, reporting dashboards, and stakeholder communication is highly valued.
