Full Job Description
Aspora is seeking a skilled SDET - Mobile to lead the quality strategy, automation systems, and testing foundations for their Android, iOS, and web products. This role goes beyond writing test cases, focusing on defining testing methodologies, building robust automation frameworks, and ensuring the reliability of releases at scale. The Mobile SDET will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality features confidently within a dynamic startup environment.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement mobile automation frameworks for Android, iOS, and web using tools such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Develop modular, scalable test systems integrated into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) to ensure efficient and reliable automation cycles.
- Oversee release readiness, including validation pipelines for feature flags, staged rollouts, and A/B experiments.
- Validate internal and third-party SDK integrations across various environments (staging, production), ensuring data integrity and compatibility.
- Ensure the integrity of APK/IPA files, including signing, artifacts, and version control.
- Debug complex flows and inspect network traffic using diagnostic tools like Charles Proxy, ADB, and Pluto.
- Monitor and triage issues using platforms such as Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry, collaborating with development teams to resolve root causes.
- Leverage AI-driven testing tools to enhance test coverage, automate scenario generation, and implement self-healing test suites.
- Continuously enhance release quality through improved observability, expanded automation coverage, and refined processes.
Requirements:
- 4 to 7 years of experience as a Mobile SDET or SDET with extensive mobile automation expertise.
- Proficiency in Java, with a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and clean coding practices.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, and Cypress/Playwright, including integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced debugging skills using tools such as Charles Proxy, Pluto, and ADB utilities.
- Experience in testing mobile-specific functionalities including feature flags, push notifications, deep links, A/B tests, and beta releases.
- Familiarity with crash reporting tools like Firebase Crashlytics or Sentry.
- Experience in building or contributing to API/backend automation using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- A strong sense of ownership and the ability to independently drive quality initiatives in cross-functional team settings.
