SDET (Emerging Careers)

About the Role

Join SAS as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) within our Emerging Careers program. You will support the Cloud Data Exchange team by developing robust test automation, analyzing critical quality metrics, and collaborating across the entire software development lifecycle for SAS Viya 4.

Your Responsibilities

• Create and maintain high-quality test automation using modern development techniques to drive data-informed decisions.
• Apply automated tests at every layer of the application stack, both inside and outside the continuous delivery pipeline.
• Analyze metrics that illustrate application quality and develop insights that guide our quality engineering strategy.
• Promptly triage test failures with precision to maintain a healthy build pipeline.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with development, product, operations, and support peers to embed quality as a core design element in all work efforts.
• Protect users from defects by participating in support escalations and prioritizing exceptional Customer Experience (CX).
• Ensure adherence to security policies to advance our secure software development goals.
