SDET - API Testing

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong focus on API testing to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. You will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our large-scale web applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute robust API test automation frameworks using Java or Python.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of large-scale web projects, with a specific emphasis on API functionality and performance.
• Utilize web testing tools such as browser developer tools, Postman, and cURL for in-depth analysis.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand software architecture, networking protocols, and web standards.
• Implement and maintain test automation scripts using libraries like Selenium and testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
• Perform performance testing using tools like JMeter and Gatling.
• Work effectively with command-line interfaces (UNIX), version control systems (Git), build tools (Gradle), and CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub).
• Gain experience with cloud infrastructure, including private/on-premise clouds, containerization (e.g., Docker), storage solutions (object and file), and public cloud deployments (e.g., AWS).
• Utilize task, bug, and test tracking management tools.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to problem-solving.
• Adhere to QA best practices and agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum).

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency in Java and strong coding abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in testing complex web applications.
• Hands-on experience with API testing and automation.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, networking, and web standards.
• Experience with Java/Python, Selenium, JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber, JMeter, and Gatling.
• Experience with UNIX command line, Git, Gradle, and CI tools.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure (private/public) and containerization.
• Familiarity with task, bug, and test tracking tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of QA processes and agile methodologies.
