Full Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Backend Engineer (SDE3) for our core platform processing millions of transactions daily. You will define technical solutions, resolve ambiguity in complex distributed systems, and own critical backend services impacting system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-performance Java and Python microservices for IOT, Order Management, and Payment platforms at scale.
- Optimize database schemas, queries, caching strategies (Redis), and event-driven architectures using Kafka/Kubernetes in production environments.
- Tackle complex LLD/HLD challenges to improve scalability, availability, and fault tolerance under high-volume loads.
- Own full lifecycle ownership from design/implementation through deployment, CI/CD monitoring, alerting, and incident response (RCA).
- Collaborate with Product, Infra, and QA teams in a multicultural setting to ensure seamless 24x7 operations for our global utility platform.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Computer Science/Engineering preferred).
- 3+ years building production backend systems with strong fundamentals in Data Structures, Algorithms, and System Design.
- Proficient in Java and Python; experienced with REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP, and SRE practices.
- Demonstrable debugging skills for distributed services, databases, caches, and queues.
- Aptitude to raise the engineering bar through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing in a fast-paced growth environment.
