SDE - Intern

Join CSG as a Software Development Engineer Intern and gain invaluable experience in our dynamic Metrics & Monitoring (M&M) Engineering team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to essential industry practices including DevOps, AI integration, and cloud-native development. You will work with leading technologies such as AWS, Azure DevOps, and modern CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with experienced engineers to develop scalable web applications and automation frameworks that support our enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, operate, and maintain a robust monitoring infrastructure involving multiple components like SCOM, Zabbix, and our proprietary Stathub tool.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed or modified tools and processes.
• Adhere to CSG's source control best practices for all tools and configuration items.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of both Windows and UNIX operating systems, with the ability to write scripts in various languages.
• Effectively and efficiently contribute within a fast-paced, adaptable team environment.
• Identify areas for improvement and solve complex problems related to interconnected software components.
• Leverage existing software development coursework and/or experience.

What's a Plus:

• Experience or understanding of JavaScript, C#, .NET, Ruby, PowerShell, Bash, JSON, XML, and Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform), and CI/CD concepts.
• Exposure to web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Node.js.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git) and basic scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Interest in AI/ML concepts, with hands-on experience in AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) being beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
