Role: Sr. Backend Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking a Remote Backend Engineer based in India to join our core product-engineering team. You will collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and data teams to develop scalable, high-performance backend systems and data pipelines. The role involves end-to-end contribution, with opportunities to work with React for frontend and Node.js for backend development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ).
• Contribute to analytics workflows using tools like Trino and Cube.js.
• Optimize for performance, reliability, and maintainability of backend systems.
• Co-design internal APIs and libraries.
• Partner with Frontend, Design, and Product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Ensure high code quality, implement comprehensive testing, and adhere to best practices.

Technical Requirements (Must Have Working Experience):

• 2-3 years of backend development experience.
• Strong system design capabilities.

• Proven experience in relevant backend technologies.
• Proficiency in debugging.
• Experience working with SAAS Tools.
• Logical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Deep understanding of Node.js and system architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and event/message-driven systems.
• Experience integrating with React frontends.
• Solid understanding of caching mechanisms (Redis), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong ownership mentality and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in e-commerce/Q-commerce SaaS, Retail Media, or Data-Intelligence platforms.
• Exposure to large-scale data systems or multi-tenant product environments.
