DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Software Development Engineer to join the Digital Post Purchase Platform team. This team is responsible for services that manage post-purchase operations for Subscriptions, Content, and Devices, serving internal clients like Amazon Prime, Amazon Music, Audible, Kindle, Prime Video, and Amazon AppStore. The role involves working on highly scalable services and modern user experiences utilizing native cloud technologies. This position offers high visibility to Amazon customers and internal stakeholders. As a Software Development Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of scalable web services and user experiences, provide technical leadership, and mentor team members and tech stakeholders. A successful candidate will have a proven background in developing customer-facing experiences and back-end web services, strong technical expertise, motivation for results in a fast-paced environment, high creativity, and excellent analytical reasoning skills. Experience in designing cross-team system architectures and mentoring peer software developers is also expected.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
