SDE I Backend Engineer

Role Overview

• About the Role: Join Astra Security as a Backend Engineer (SDE I) to build and improve the backend systems powering our AI-driven cybersecurity platform. You will develop APIs, database components, and asynchronous workflows critical for autonomous pentesting.

Your Impact:

• Build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Java, Python, PHP, or C++.
• Design efficient tables in PostgreSQL/MySQL and write complex SQL queries to optimize performance.
• Develop asynchronous workflows utilizing queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) for background processing.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience: 1-3 years in backend development within a product/SaaS environment.
• Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in OOP, Data Structures/Algorithms (DSA), and core software engineering principles.
• Databases: Experience with relational databases; ability to write efficient SQL.
• Architecture: Understanding of ORMs, Dependency Injection, Caching strategies, Logging, and Error Handling.
