SDE -Backend Engineer – Go

Job Overview

InCommon is recruiting a Backend Engineer (Go) on behalf of Podifi, a Palo Alto-based product development firm. Podifi leverages AI-augmented teams and their proprietary 'Generative Agile' methodology to deliver full-stack software solutions. In this role, you will design and maintain high-performance backend services using Go, focusing on system architecture, API development, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and deploy scalable backend services using Go.
• Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, from system modeling to production rollout.
• Optimize system performance, latency, and throughput.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and infrastructure teams.
• Ensure code quality through rigorous code reviews and technical mentorship.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing with Go.
• Proficiency in distributed systems, concurrency, and database management.
• Working knowledge of Docker, GCP/AWS, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward shipping clean, maintainable code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
• Active participation in the Go open-source community.
