SDE 4

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer (SDE-4) to architect and build our Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) product from the ground up. In this high-ownership role, you will make foundational architecture decisions for inline DAM real-time monitoring and enforcement, network proxy/sidecar-based solutions, eBPF-based database activity visibility, protocol inspection/query telemetry, and real-time policy enforcement.

• Architect and build a production-grade DAM platform from scratch.
• Develop high-performance inline proxies for database traffic inspection and enforcement.
• Design network sidecars and transparent traffic interception mechanisms.
• Build eBPF-based visibility across processes, sockets, and network activity.
• Parse and analyze protocols like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server.
• Correlate queries with users, workloads, services, and application identities.
• Design systems for extremely low latency, high throughput, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation.
• Build solutions compatible with Kubernetes, cloud, hybrid, and enterprise environments.
• Lead architecture reviews, performance benchmarks, and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers while collaborating directly with founders, product teams, and security researchers.

• 7-11 years of strong software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Linux internals, networking (TCP/IP), processes, sockets, and system architecture.
• Mastery of systems programming languages such as Go, C++, Rust, or C.
• Proven track record building high-performance distributed or networked systems.
• Expertise in concurrency patterns, performance optimization, and production debugging.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure management.
• Ability to independently solve ambiguous technical problems from conception to deployment.
