Scapia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (SDE-3) to join our innovative team in Bangalore. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the architecture, scalability, and performance of our next-generation payments and shopping ecosystem. Collaborating closely with engineering leadership, you will build a high-performance, secure, and scalable platform that efficiently handles millions of transactions and enhances shopping experiences daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and Develop: Design and implement high-scale distributed systems capable of supporting millions of users and transactions.
• Champion Technical Excellence: Lead the adoption and enforcement of best engineering practices, including code quality, security standards, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure scaling.
• Resolve Complex Challenges: Tackle high-throughput, low-latency systems critical for real-time payments and commerce operations.
• Mentor and Lead: Provide technical guidance, inspiration, and mentorship to a team of engineers while actively contributing to hands-on development.
• Drive Innovation at Scale: Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to create exceptional and seamless consumer experiences.
• Ensure Performance and Security: Maintain a fault-tolerant, highly available, and secure system infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 6 to 8 years of experience in backend engineering, distributed systems, or fintech platforms.
• Proficiency in the Java programming language.
• In-depth knowledge of microservices, cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Proven experience with high-scale transactional systems, event-driven architecture, and caching solutions (e.g., Redis, Kafka).
• A strong passion for building scalable, fault-tolerant, and low-latency systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects from inception to completion and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
