About the Role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE-1) to join our mobile engineering team. You will work on building high-quality mobile experiences using the Flutter framework, while learning and working with native modules across Android and iOS when required. In this role, you will work closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to understand requirements, build, test, and ship mobile features while contributing to the core mobile platform used across the organization.

You will work within established application architecture, build reusable components, and maintain high engineering standards across the mobile codebase while developing strong mobile engineering fundamentals.

What You Will Do

• Work closely with Product, UX/UI, and Backend teams to understand requirements and build consumer-facing mobile features.
• Develop reusable Flutter widgets and components following established patterns and engineering practices.
• Implement mobile features with a focus on clean, maintainable, testable, and readable code.
• Collaborate with QA and platform teams to test features and support stable, high-quality app releases.
• Monitor application behaviour and fix functional, UI, and performance issues across supported devices.
• Debug issues using logs, Flutter developer tools, and a structured approach to identify and resolve root causes.
• Participate in code reviews, seek feedback, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the mobile engineering team.
• Learn and adopt relevant Flutter ecosystem tools, libraries, and mobile engineering practices to improve development quality and productivity.

What You Will Need

• 2-3 years of experience building mobile applications with a strong foundation and hands-on experience in iOS and Swift, along with recent hands-on experience working with Flutter and Dart.
• Experience with AI SDLC.
• Good understanding of mobile application development fundamentals and established application architectures.
• Good understanding of Flutter framework, widgets, layouts, navigation, and state management approaches such as Bloc, Provider, Riverpod, GetX etc.
• Basic understanding of Platform/method channels and integrating Flutter applications with native frameworks.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling JSON-based client-server communication.
• Ability to debug functional issues, UI rendering problems, and basic performance issues using Flutter developer tools.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
• Understanding of mobile design patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Experience writing unit and widget tests; exposure to integration testing is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and using tools such as Jira or similar project management systems.
• Understanding of mobile UX principles and responsive UI design.
