zingbus is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer I (SDE I) specializing in backend engineering to join our Gurugram team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building scalable, high-performance backend systems. You will leverage your expertise in Node.js architectures, databases, caching, and search technologies to design, develop, and maintain our core backend services.

We are looking for an engineer who thrives independently, takes full ownership of modules, and excels in collaborative environments with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Build and optimize APIs and backend systems with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Work extensively with databases, including MongoDB and SQL.
• Implement effective caching and data optimization strategies using Redis.
• Write and maintain robust unit tests to ensure code quality and system stability.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, driving long-term solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering best practices.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in Node.js development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Redis, and Unit Testing principles.
• Proven experience in building scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with React.js.
• Knowledge of Angular.
• Experience with Neo4j or other graph databases.

This is a permanent position based in Gurugram, India.
