SDE - 1 (Backend)

As a Backend SDE - 1 at Zavo, you will be an AI-First engineer responsible for building and operationalizing our procurement agent platform using Go. You must critically review every line of code generated by modern LLMs (Cursor, Copilot) to ensure high-quality production standards.

• Leverage AI tools to write clean Go code rapidly while maintaining strict quality control over API endpoints and user-facing features.
• Prioritize automated testing by using tooling to generate robust unit and integration tests, ensuring high coverage before any review.
• Utilize AI-assisted debugging techniques to diagnose issues quickly across the application stack.
• Rapidly ramp up on internal codebases with LLMs acting as interactive mentors for documentation and learning.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of production backend experience; Go is preferred but other languages are acceptable if you demonstrate strong fundamentals.
• Solid grasp of core CS concepts: data structures, OOP, algorithms, and Git workflows.
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and building REST APIs.
• A critical mindset that refuses to blindly accept AI completions without verification.
• An eager problem-solver ready to ship features quickly in a consulting environment serving global clients.
