Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled SDE 1/2 Backend Developer to build and maintain scalable backend systems at our Bengaluru office. You will collaborate with engineers and front-end teams on smooth integration, performance optimization, and scalability.

This is an exciting opportunity in a young, dynamic startup environment where you can work directly with founders during the critical 0-1 and 1-10 growth phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain efficient backend systems using Python (FastAPI) and JavaScript frameworks (Node.js).
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of solution architecture, system design principles, and API-based application development in e-commerce domains like search, cart management, order tracking, and payments.
• Develop clean, maintainable code while independently troubleshooting complex issues.
• Optimize systems for high scalability, reliability, and performance under load.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews and adhere to industry best practices in development lifecycles.
• Ensure robust backend security protocols compliant with PII standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-5 years of experience in backend development within B2C or B2B industries, preferably in fast-paced startup environments.
• Proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask), async programming patterns, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+).
• Solid expertise in API design, scalability strategies, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions like Redis and MongoDB.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies for enterprise software lifecycle management is a plus.
