Responsibilities:

• Design and implement highly performant, scalable backend services using Scala.
• Contribute at a Senior/Staff Engineering level, taking ownership of architectural components.
• Lead system design sessions and champion best engineering practices across development teams.
• Develop and maintain distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate effectively with product management, engineering peers, and leadership stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and elevate the overall code quality and technical standards of the team.
• Play a key role in critical decisions impacting the long-term platform strategy.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience building production-ready systems with Scala.
• Proven experience operating at a Senior or Staff Engineer level with demonstrated architectural responsibility.
• Extensive experience in system design.
• A solid understanding of backend architecture patterns and best practices.
• Experience in building and maintaining event-driven or reactive systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Experience working on business-critical products or high-availability systems.
