Full Job Description
EY is seeking a Senior SAP HANA ABAP Consultant to join our IT Consulting team in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This role is crucial for contributing to various cloud implementation projects for our global clientele. As a technical team leader, you will be responsible for the planning, monitoring, and execution of project deliverables, mentoring your team, and interfacing with onsite coordinators and client representatives. You will also be involved in status reporting and ensuring quality culture within the team. The role requires flexibility for potential travel to client locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical streams in cloud implementation projects.
- Communicate and coordinate with onsite teams.
- Plan and monitor team's project deliverables.
- Mentor project team members.
- Provide regular status reports.
- Liaise with client representatives.
- Be open to travel to client sites as needed.
People Management:
- Foster a quality-driven work environment.
- Manage performance of direct reports according to organizational policies.
- Promote teamwork and lead by example.
- Train and mentor project resources.
- Participate in company-wide people initiatives.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency in AS-ABAP on HANA.
- Strong understanding of HANA Data Modelling Concepts.
- Experience with custom code push-down techniques.
- Practical knowledge of ABAP Development Toolkit (ADT).
- Proven project experience with CDS and AMDP.
- Experience in Module Pool Programming, Adobe Forms, and Smart Forms.
- Solid ABAP programming skills with RICEFW development experience.
- In-depth knowledge of User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, and the Enhancement Framework.
- Familiarity with SAP data migration tools.
- Experience with SAP Gateway.
- Real-time experience in implementation and migration projects.
- BE/B.Tech/MCA degree with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
Advantageous Technical Skills:
- HANA analytics (predictive and text analysis).
- Knowledge of Fiori and SAP BO tools.
- Skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding and application of software development best practices.
- Excellent business communication skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
