Full Job Description
Teamware Solutions, a leading IT services provider in Mumbai, is actively recruiting an experienced SAP BASIS Administrator for a role focused on non-HANA environments. This critical position involves the comprehensive management of our SAP landscape, encompassing installation, configuration, ongoing maintenance, performance optimization, and robust security protocols. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in traditional SAP BASIS operations and a proactive approach to ensuring high availability and seamless performance of our SAP systems. Key Responsibilities
- SAP System Administration & Monitoring: Install, configure, and administer diverse SAP components such as SAP ECC, SAP BW, and SAP Solution Manager within non-HANA database infrastructures (including Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2). Monitor system performance, proactively troubleshoot issues, and maintain optimal system health and stability. Manage SAP transport requests (STMS), client administration, and user management. Oversee SAP batch job management and background processing.
- System Maintenance & Upgrades: Execute regular SAP system patching, kernel upgrades, and support package implementations. Perform essential database administration tasks for underlying non-HANA databases, including backups, restores, and performance tuning. Plan and execute system refreshes and client copies efficiently.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization: Identify and resolve SAP system performance bottlenecks by implementing solutions at both the application and database levels. Manage critical SAP buffer parameters, work processes, and system memory to ensure peak performance.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain stringent SAP security configurations and user authorizations. Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external audit requirements. Manage SSL certificates and secure communication channels effectively.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level support for all SAP BASIS-related issues, ensuring timely responses to incidents and requests. Collaborate effectively with functional teams, developers, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex technical problems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- Demonstrated experience as an SAP BASIS Administrator with substantial hands-on work in non-HANA SAP environments.
- Strong understanding of SAP NetWeaver architecture and its various components.
- Expertise in administering key non-HANA databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix or Windows Server operating systems relevant to SAP deployments.
- Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and administration.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding work environment.
Preferred Skills
- SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP NetWeaver or equivalent BASIS certifications.
- Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions for SAP systems.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Shell scripting or PowerShell for automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for hosting SAP systems.
